French Toast

A classic and simple breakfast for a Sunday morning. Serve with maple syrup and fruit.

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2/3 cup of milk

  • 8 slices thick bread

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • fruit, to serve (optional)

Directions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and cinnamon together well.
  • Add the butter to a pan or skillet over and heat over medium heat.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the milk egg mixture, allowing the bread to soak in some of it.
  • Shake off the excess egg mixture from the bread and place the bread slices onto the hot pan. Fry the French toast on each side until both sides until golden.
  • Place on a serving dish. Serve with maple syrup and fruit.
