4 large eggs
2/3 cup of milk
8 slices thick bread
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
fruit, to serve (optional)
Directions
- In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and cinnamon together well.
- Add the butter to a pan or skillet over and heat over medium heat.
- Dip each slice of bread into the milk egg mixture, allowing the bread to soak in some of it.
- Shake off the excess egg mixture from the bread and place the bread slices onto the hot pan. Fry the French toast on each side until both sides until golden.
- Place on a serving dish. Serve with maple syrup and fruit.
