Spaghetti with Shrimp and Tomatoes

1 lb uncooked shrimp, shelled and deveined
1 lb spaghetti
2 pints cherry tomatoes, halved
6 garlic cloves, minced
6 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 lemon
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup fresh parsley, loosely chopped
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Cook the spaghetti in the pot according to the package directions.
- While the spagetti is cooking, heat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil.
- Add fresh shrimp and half the minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute on each side. The shrimp should be pink on each side.
- To the skillet with shrimp, add chopped fresh tomatoes and the rest of the minced garlic. Mix everything well.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the remainder of the butter. Stir in the chopped parsley and mix well.
- Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well.
- Add salt and warm up on medium heat until the shrimp is thoroughly cooked.
- Mix in the grated parmesan cheese.
